  • 1.  Uprade from 10.1.2 to 10.2.0 fixed many issues

After upgrading my windows 7 laptop from WDE 10.1.2 to 10.2.0 several issues appear to be solved:

    * daily false NTFS file system error 55 messages: "The file system structure on the disk is corrupt and unusable. Please run the chkdsk utility on the volume Default."

    * Now I can schedule and run chkdsk /f or /r, previously it was necessary to run chkdsk from a windows PE boot disk

    * Inability to dismount a USB flash drive. There was a file handle that couldn't be closed even with process explorer.

I suspected that WDE was the cause of these issues but it was difficult to pin them down. My installation is from our standard corprorate disk image, so the problems may have been with our installlation and not universal.

SO image + PGP deploy is not recommended since it may create duplicated entries and completely unexptected behaviour....so maybe the problem was related to this.

Good to know that you could solve the issue.
