This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hello,

I need urgent help as I am not able to log into the SEPM console. I have run Resetpass.bat and tried to login with the User: admin / Pass: admin but not working. Also restarted SEPM service just in case but still the same. SEPM is RU7.
Any ideas?

Thanks

Try

Hello,

Try Forwarding your machine time to 30 mins or 1 hour ahead

and then run the rest pass and try to log in ..

revert back the time later on once you are able to login

Hope this works !!

Hit reset pass.bat once

Hit reset pass.bat once .

Wait for few seconds and try the user name and password . If this fails run repair and check .

just tried it, doesn't help.

just tried it, doesn't help. If I run Repair of the SEPM, will it ask for server reboot, because I will not be able to reboot it now?

A repair should not ask for a reboot

A repair should not ask for a reboot.

As Mithun said, you can try to change the time on the server.

Once you are ready to revert the time, do so.

But your DB will be skewed.

In the same folder that you found Resetpass.bat there is another .bat file: "updatedbtime.bat".

This should help you to make sure the time in the DB is not skewed and everything should go back to "normal" as far as logs, etc.

Hi,After running reset.pass

Hi,

After running reset.pass batch file, do you see batch file execution ?

You will have find it under C or Installed drive\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Tools

If account is locked then only you will have to change the system time ahead.

I hope you have not synch with AD

Luckily I managed to fix this

Luckily I managed to fix this but in another way. I have 2nd site which is replicating with the one I have issues logging into the console. Both are using embedded database. So I logged into the 2nd site in the SEPM console with the password that I have set myself (which was not working in the first SEPM). Then just in case created new admin account (called admin2), ran the replication between both sites and I logged in after that successfully in the first console with both accounts.

Thanks anyway for your advices.
