You need to call support.

You need to call support.

There is an online portal, save yourself the long hold times. Create ticket online, then call in with ticket # in hand :-) http://mysupport.symantec.com "We backup data to restore, we don't backup data just to back it up."

Try installing with out ptp and ntp and see whether the problem still appears.

SEP & Crash

In this case you need not uninstall SEP one by one. We need to modify the features of the installed product. We need to configure SEP in such a way that only the AV/AS feature remains. In this scenario you can perform the below mentioned steps on one client machine and if it successful then you can create a new customized package and deploy it to all the clients through the SEPM.

How to add or remove features to existing Symantec Endpoint Protection client installations

Guys Be aware with the

Guys
Be aware with the 11.0.5002 Version of Symantec EndPoint
After install on my computers (Almost  300 clients) I lost 75 clients with a Loop on Windows XP. The computers have a Unexpected Shut Down and enter into a loop (bluescreen and Restart again and again)

The other 225 client lost the comunication with the Endpoint Server. The Endpoint Management Client service never started. When you try to run manually appear a Windows error message. We use the SEPprep utility and  re-install the 11.0.4202 Endpoint version on all those clients. WHAT A PAIN...

All this occured when the server load a expecific virus devinition to all clients.

Be AWARE. I prefer stay on the 11.0.4202 version.
