URGENT Rescheduled jobs pushed out months ahead

URGENT if anyone can help fast it's appreciated.
BackupExec 12.5. Fully patched as far as I can tell. I'm trying to re-load balance our backup jobs, and every time I make a change to the schedule and submit, the job gets pushed out a week further into the future (these are weekly full jobs). Some of these jobs are now pushed out into March as their first run time.
I'm in Virginia, and we're deep into a winter storm. I'm trying to get out of here before roads shut down, but now have weekend backups that won't run. If anyone can tell me fast why the hell this is happening & how to stop it, appreciated ...

Whatever broke it, the fix is to copy the jobs locally & blow out the originals.
Anyone want to venture a guess as to the cause?
As far as I can tell, this is a known problem in BackupExec. What you have to do it tell the job to run at the specific time you want it to run next, then go back in and re-create the schedule. This will make the job work as it should.
I learned this by my own frustration.
