USB Blockage issues with MR4 MP1
ok everybody
Here comes burning issues with MR4 MP1
I blocked users USB via application and device control
in blocked devices pane i add USB
in devices excluded from blocking i add
1-Human interface devices
2-printing devices
3-imaging devices
4-ports
Now the issue is printer which are connected to PC Via USB got disabled.it is DOT4USB
when i disabled syamtec SEP then printer start working although i add printing devices in excluded devices
do you have any idea how can i enable USB printer while running SEP on the same PC.
2nd Issue is
i want to enable USB storage on some user via SEP but i want to make mechanism that user will unable to copy,paste,read,write anything relevant to entertainment to Flash Drive
i.e(Pictures,audio,video,games,exe files)

You also mentioned that you have added an exclusion for the following :-
1-Human interface devices
2-printing devices
3-imaging devices
4-ports
In this scenario you need to do this :-
If you have not downloaded the CD2 folder please download it from https://fileconnect.symantec.com/licenselogin.jsp?...
If you have downloaded the CD2 Folder go to ..Tools/NoSupport/DevViewer...the dev viewer tool would help you to get the class id or the device id of the USB Printer.
In the SEPM console go to Policies tab...Under policy component select Hardware devices...It would ask you for either the class id or the device id of the device ..in our case its the USB printer add the class id or the device id of the USB Printer and click OK. I am sure this would resolve your issue. I am attaching a screen shot as well
