  • 1.  USB devices MUST be Read-Only or PGP Portable

    Hello Everyone,

I need to apply a policy, "USB devices must be read-only or PGP Portable" , Is possible this?

I added the "portableForceRemovableEncryption" propertie, but if the task is canceled, the USB is read/write.

    Any idea to solve this?

    Than you...!!!

    Hi SmartSys,

Have you tried the Drive Encryption configuration of the Consumer Policy?

"Enable automatic encryption or locking of removable devices"
"Lock device as read-only and provide users with the option to encrypt with Symantec Drive Encryption (Windows clients only)"

    Other idea?

    Thank you!

    Hi SmartSys,

There is Symantec PGP Portable which already in End of Life, but to the best of my knowledge you cannot force a policy.
For what you are looking you will need to use something like SEE Removable Storage.

    • Transparently manage security policies through Active Directory integration
    • Allows recipients to decrypt files without having Symantec Endpoint Encryption client installed
