Hi everybody.

I'm planning deploy SEP 12.1 Small Bussiness Edition in my company with around 200 SEP client. I had some concerns :

1. Is SEP 12.1 Small Bussiness Edition have support over 200 SEP client ?
2. Now, I'm testing with only 2 SEP Client that database size over 2,5GB. How to reduce databese size ?

Hi,

SEP 12.1 SBE supports only 250 computers.

In SBE don't have an option to truncate transaction logs and rebuilt indexes.

2.5 GB database size is acceptable even though 2 clients are connected. So no need to worry on that part.

If I recall, SBE supports upto 250 clients and not 100 as stated earlier...

--> My apologies, I reconfirmed SBE now supports upto 250 clients, attaching PDF to confirm same

--> You are doing wrong calculation. For 100 clients it won't increase to 250 GB. Primarily it depends upon how long ogs retains in the database.

The initial database is created and it allocate space for logs, policy, virus definitions, groups,so many stuffs. So  Database size is acceptable as of now. If you add 100 clients more, Those clients going to use the same policy, virus definitions etc. you can expect a size upto 10GB for 100 clients.
