This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hi everybody

When I reset or change a password of a user account, the field "Password expire date" (in the settings of Manage Users/password settings) is changed for today's date.

E.g.: Today is 04/10/2013.

The field "Password expire date" of the user account "Paul Mccartney" has the date: 02/02/2021

If I am reseting the password of "Paul Mccartney" the date in "Password expire date" will be change to: 04/10/2013 automatically.

If this will happen, when "Paul Mccartney" try to do logon, he will get a message of "expired account".

Anybody knows how can I reset a password without the system changes the "Password expire date" automatically?

Bruno Bacelar

If you log in as Admin, go to Admin - Users - Accounts - Manage Users. From that list page you can select an action to Change Password.

If you select Manage User from this page and select the Password Settings tab, you can change the password expiration date.

OK, I can change the password expiration date in Manage User, but if a user change his password, the password expiration date is changed automatically for today's date and the password will be expired.

The problem is in this automatic change. No matter if the password was changed by admin using the Manage User or by user, using Account/Change Password.

I found a way.

I couldn't set the password to never expire, but I found a way to the password don't expire immediately.

I went in Admin/Portal/Master Settings in Account Management and I set "Password Expire Months*" to 12 and "Password Expire Days*" to 31.

It's not exactly what I was needing, but it's helping me.
