User Limit

Hi!

Whenever any of my domain users login to a domain pc instead of his pc, backup exec DLO creates a seperate folder for that user under the pc name he is logging to. This is making problem for Licensing. Is there any solution to this or we have to stop our users from logging in to multiple machines?

Thanks!

Hi,

You'd have to look into a GPO policy on your domain which will stop users from logging onto multiple machines, and instead lock them down.
This wouldn't be done in BEWS. From what I can see though, the only thing you can do in BEWS is to set/override the default desktop user data folder path in the DLO wizard by:

1. Moving the user's data folder to another location using the DLO Configuration using wizard option;
2. Setting a default location for the default desktop user data folder path when creating a new user/default profile.

Laters!

I think it is better to lock the users for logging into multiple computers in the domain. I will check if there is a policy for that. Once i selected the logon to option in Windows Server ADUC console but after that my users started having problem with their Exchange E-Mail. I will try to find the recommended way to lock users in GPO.

Thanks!

Thanks for that...please post whether or not this helped, and if it did, you can close the forum query off with the solution.

Thanks!
