  • 1.  Users able to edit jobs and scripts

So I have my support group locked down so they can run tasks on computer but not edit them. However, some way some how they are still able to edit scripts and add tasks to jobs.

When I log in with my limited account I am unable to do any of those changes. Once thing I did notice is that it says the scripts have been edited by the service account.

Does anyone have any idea how they are doing it or why the service account is listed as the one that made the change.

I did just change the service account name and password so I know they do not have that account.

If the AppId is associated with the modifications, then two possible scenarios could have occurred:

    1. One or more user knows the credentials and have used them instead of their own.

    2. A product uprade or repair has caused them to be touched.  This shouldnt really happen; however, it has been know to.

The good thing about tasks is that the modifiy link allows you to choose each modify date so you can compare the screenshot that was taken.
