Can I migate from SEP 11.0.1000.1375 to SEP 12.0

  • 1.  users cannot cut copy & paste in share folder of File Server

    I used SEP 11.0.1000.1375 in my office. When I enable Proactive Threat Protection & Network Threat Protection in File Server, users cannot cut copy & paste in share folder of File Server, when I remove Proactive Threat Protection & Network Threat Protection from File Server. Users can do anything. What can I do?

    the version which you have mentioned is tooo old. The latest version is RU 6 MP1. Install and let know if it solves your issue.

    SEP 11.0.1000.1375 is a very old version which is having hundreds of bugs.Pls upgrade to SEP RU6a.You can download it from https://fileconnect.symantec.com .For migration you can refer below KB

     

    Migrating to Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 RU6

    If it you want to upgrade one ot two PC or your clients are unmanged,you can just run the setup.exe from RU6a CD1\SEP folder for upgrading..

    I used SEPM 11.0.1000.1375 in my office.  I want to download latest version & upgrade SEPM. Pls. give me URL & Upgrade procedure with Server & Client

    You cannot migrate from any 11.0. XXX to 12.0.XXXX

    they are two diff product with scaled down features.

    I am trying to migate SEPM 11.0.1000.1375. But I cannot disable replication by deleting site. Below message shown when try to delte site.

     

    “You cannot delete the management server to which you are currently connected”

    You should log in to the other box and then delete this replication; seems like u r trying to delete the one you are currently logged in :)

    when you have replication you will have 2 SEPMs

     

    login to first sepm and delete the other replication and vice versa

    I have one SEPM & one Site under the Local Site, how i i delete?

    then you dont have replication dont worry about it; just run the setup :) after taking the backup
