Morning All

We are having a strange problem with our EV users. For some strange reason some of our users can see other users achives but they do not have access to those users mailbox, there are no permissions in AD or in EV.

We are currently running EV 2007 sp2 on a Server 2003 OS.

Any ideas why this would be happening?

Regards,

Rob

EV syncs with Exchnage permissions.

They are probable sharingt their calendar or some other folder.

Check that first

We had a look and there is nothing being shared between the the users.

Any other ideas guys?

If UserA previously had access to UserB's mailbox and UserB's mailbox was archived, then UserA will still have access to UserB's Vaulted emails.  I found this out the hard way.  It turns out when Vault archives an email, it stamps the permissions on there and it cannot be revoked unless you run some EVPM script to clear the permissions from UserB's archive.  I was stumped just like you.  Use the PermissionsBrowser.exe in the Vault directory to confirm the permissions.

Hi,

It is not the case that ev stores with an archived item permission information.
