Users unable to restore items from their EV vault.
We've had reports of users on our LAN (firewalls configurations haven't been changed) not succeeding when they try to restore an item from their vault.
The icon changes from the 'vaulted' symbol to the one with a blue arrow curled up and around to the right
, but nothing further occurs.
This may be a red-herring, but recycling the web pages in IIS Manager whilst trying to get EV Operations Manager working, seemed to allow 'item restoration' to work correctly for about two hours, and then the 'restore feature' stopped working again.
I tried recycling the web pages yet again, but it failed to revive the item restoration feature.
I'm left feeling that those two hours of successful processing must simply have been coincidence!
So far, I haven't seen anything in the Event Logs to help me identify either an error or anything else that might point me in the right direction.

After some discussions with colleagues, I'm now wondering if the restore from vault process was being strangled / inhibited or whatever by a backup process. Is this possible ?
That's possible.
Have a look at your message queues, are there any messages hanging?
