  • 1.  using additional external SMTP Server

    Hello together,

    hope someone can help me out.

    We got a request to deliver messages ONLY with special Sender addresses to an External SMTP/S Smart host Server (SSL/TLS)

    We are running Symantec Message Gateway 10.5.x with two scanners and 1 control center. Our Mail Gateway is connected to our Internal Exchnage CAS

    The request is:

    To "forward" (I actually do not know if I can call it forward), to an external SMTP/S Host on an external provider out from our Symantec Mail Gateway. And the most important thing is:

    ONLY Messages with a special Sender-address (these messages coming from our INTERNAL Exchange) should be forwarded to this External SMTP/S server. All other messages should be handled as known.

    Is there any way to Filter messages by sender in Symantec Mail Gateway and forward them to an external SMTP/S smart host?

    It's certainly possible to tell SMG to send outbound email from a specific internal sender out via TLS, but I'm not sure you can choose a specific smart host unless you use mulitple scanners.
