Ok, I have been testing Vista a little bit here and there since it released. I am now ready to start testing imaging and deployment methods. I spent the last couple of days pouring through the MS documentation on the new tools they provide for deploying Vista(imageX, PXE 2.0.....)
I would like to hear from the early adopters of Vista on why you are using Ghost instead of the MS tools. I am not using the console to manage my clients on the network. We have SMS but I don't see us using it for image deployment the way MS suggests anytime soon either. I am mainly interested in image consolidation, image maintenance time, deployment speed... I currently image my XP computers from a lab environment with Ghost Cast Server through a PXE boot disk. No fancy scripting yet but I do see us doing more as I try to reduce the number of images I maintain.
Input form users and Symantec developers would be appreciated.
