  • 1.  Using MergeText component for ticket comment

    Has anyone tried using a MergeText component for the ticket comments and kept the formatting (line breaks)? I have a text variable that I constantly append to it (text variable + comments) so that variable holds all the comments but when creating/editing the ticket using that variable for the comments everything is on one line without the line breaks. I tried adding <br> tags into the HTML source as well as editing the HTML Source to make it look like one long HTML file but that didn't work. I know that I can update the ticket multiple times instead but would prefer to only have to do it once.

    I haven't tried a MergeText component for the entire Comment, but I know that when you are editing the Comment field, before exiting, I always have to click on the "Source" tab at the bottom left of the Comment editing window. If I leave it at "Design", any line breaks I have entered do not  register and everything will flow into one line. FYI - The same thing happens when trying to edit the body (HTML content) of a Send Email component.

    Try the 'Source' tab and see if it works.
