Cannot be done. There is no option to use any other database software.

Extract from NBU Admin Guide I:

NetBackup uses the SQL Anywhere Relational Database Management System
to store information in the NetBackup database (NBDB).
......
NetBackup installs Sybase SQL Anywhere during the master server installation
as a private, non-shared server for the NetBackup database.

Please help us to understand the reason for your request?

The reason why I have that is that there's a customer who has poicy in his company that all the databases should be Oracle Databsse

moreover he is claiming that the already installed netbackup 6.5.5 has the catalog database on Oracle Databse

I know for sure that this is impossible but I just needed to check with you here as I thought they might be an advanced installation that can allow this to happen

any way thanks for your cooperation and for your help
