  • 1.  Using RAAD to look at a MAC computer

    I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this so please excuse if it is not. I love the Remote Altiris Agent Diagnostics (RAAD) tool and use it against Windows based PC's all day long. For some reason I have not found a way to use it against a MAC based OS, does anyone have any tips or ticks to get this functionality.

    You probably won't get this functionality in the tool as it is now.  If I'm not mistaken the RAAD tool is heavily reliant on WMI which is Windows only.  You might want to request this by posting an idea in the Ideas section for ITMS or CMS about it.

    RAAD tool is not supported for Mac OS X.

    Altiris 8.0 has a functionality to see the health of Agents from SMP. You should use this instead.

    What if you will create a custom right click menu to open VNC or SSH terminal connection from SMP Console to managed Mac OS client PC?

    Of course it doesn't match to what gives a RAAD tool from Windows clients, but anyway you will have connection to required Mac OS machine
