Utilizing one ghost server as opposed to several
Where I work, we utilize one ghost 2.5 server and three branch ghost servers that are each in their own subnet. Wanting to eliminate the branch servers and maintain all client machines on our main ghost server. Have installed 2.5 client on one of the outer branch machines (which shows connected on our main ghost server). However, in running a task, the log shows that client has the client version installed and run, the product version installed then the client disconnects. The target client is not disconnected, but the server indicates differently.
To test, I installed ghost on my laptop from the main branch and pointed it to connect to one of the outer branch ghost servers and it runs tasks fine.
Also, we have imaged several machines at our main branch and installed them at the other branch locations, and those machines find our main branch ghost server and can have tasks run. I'm trying to determine why machines at our other locations when pointed to the main ghost server can find it, but experience the previously stated problem.
Any help would be appreciated.
