Single Pass backup would be backup eveerything on the server in one job

Single Pass Restore would be restore everything on server in one job.

Generally BE can do Single Pass Backup however with the exception of when we are protecting virtual machines, BE cannot do a single pass restore of everything on a server if database technologies are involved (such as Sharepoint, SQL, Exchange etc) as often the database services have to be active and running in order to restore into.

Edit As your title mentioned vray-techology - we can do single pass restore of a virtual machine as long as it was backed up with the virtual/v-ray agent. However note that the host machine (Hyper-V or VMware) might need restoring/re-installing first which would mean Single pass is not possible to get back the whole virtual environment in one pass.
