What is actual NBU installation path?
Is this a cluster with incorrect paths/symbolic links on the current active node?

Seems /usr/openv/netbackup/vault/sessions was renamed to /usr/openv/netbackup/vault/sessions.orig

What is the timestamp on sessions.orig folder?
Any idea why the folder was renamed?

Could you please change the folder name back to sessions or just create correct sym-link to /opt/VRTSnbu/netbackup/vault/sessions.

Hi Marriane and Nagalla,

I tried to create a "sessions" directory to /usr/openv/netbackup/vault/ however the tape was not ejected.

what would be the problem?

Repeat of my previous questions:

  1. What is actual NBU installation path?
  2. Is this a cluster with incorrect paths/symbolic links on the current active node?
  3. Seems /usr/openv/netbackup/vault/sessions was renamed to /usr/openv/netbackup/vault/sessions.orig
  4. What is the timestamp on sessions.orig folder?
  5. Any idea why the folder was renamed?
  6. Could you please change the folder name back to sessions or just create correct sym-link to /opt/VRTSnbu/netbackup/vault/sessions.

If this is a cluster, 'sessions' must be a symbolic link to /opt/VRTSnbu/netbackup/vault/sessions else the sessions folder under /usr/openv cannot failover to another node.

From the above job details, it seems that the tape is mounted. (Busy with another backup perhaps?)

Check sessions log for details.

Hi Marriane,

1. Installation path is /usr/openv/netbackup/vault/.

2. Yes, This is a cluster.

3. I think it was renamed but i don't have an idea why it was renamed.

4. [root@svrnetbkup03 vault]# ls -l

total 4
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root   37 Jan 22 12:02 sessions -> /opt/VRTSnbu/netbackup/vault/sessions
drwxr-xr-x 2 root bin  4096 Jul 18  2012 sessions.orig

-Timestamp.

5.  i don't have an idea why it was renamed.

6.  /usr/openv/netbackup/vault/sessions -> /opt/VRTSnbu/netbackup/vault/sessions

Thank you,
