Hi

Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

  1. Verify no vault sessions are running
  2. If none running proceed or wait for jobs to complete
  3. Empty the CAP if any tapes are present
  4. Rename or remove /usr/openv/netbackup/vault/sessions/vlteject.mstr.lock on the Master
  5. For ACS robots rename/remove any /usr/openv/volmgr/misc/EJECT_*.txt files on ALL media servers that use this robot
  6. Eject tapes for the session(s) by either re-running vault or using vltopmenu to attempt to eject them again

Hi

Check if the eject option in  eject tab in the vault profile is set to Immediate or Deferred...

If its deferred switch it to immediate.

Also check for detail.log in the master @ /usr/openv/netbackup/vault/sessions/<LTO Profile>/<hung job session id>/detail.log

Milan

Can you please post the complete information in the detailed status. What is the capcity of your MAP?The vault eject job stucks at 76% when the MAP(Media Access Port) is full. It seems it waiting for those tapes to be removed from MAP so other tapes can be ejected.

If that is not the case provide the detailed information and the SID log located at netbackup\vault\sessions
