Vault prompting for password

Created: 08 Jan 2008 • Updated: 21 May 2010 | 3 comments
Hi,

I have a user who keeps getting prompted to enter her password when she attempts to open a vaulted item. Even after entering her password, the vaulted item will not open.

Has anyone got ideas on how to fix this? I've tried running the zap command against her mailbox, permissions are correct on her archive, just not sure what else to be looking at.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane

Do other users have the same issue on the same machine?

I have seen issues where some user are affected and some are not if the following reg keys are not set.

disableloopbackcheck and disabletrictnamechecking.

I am not sure why some user can connect and not others.

Anyway,

Try this test on your EV server.

1. Click on Start, run.

If the system resolved local resources such as printers then I am not on the correct track. If the system prompts for credentials or displays duplicate name on network then you need to set the keys. Run the EV deployment scanner and look for the article to set the keys or just goggle them.

Hi,

What happens if they use search, does that show an archive, do they get search results?
