This issue has been solved. See solution.

HI!

I have a question regarding the use of the VSA. Everytime I need to do something on the server, the guides said that we always need to use this account.

Well, we can't do that everytime we need to run some test, or configurations.

My question is, can I assign to another user the same permissions of the VSA?

Example:

  • Using the EVPM (need VSA).
  • Assign permissions (log on with the VSA).
  • Etc.

Thx to all!

Have a look in the Admin Guide (I think) for Roles Based Administration.

That will allow you to create a selection of lesser-powered users for day to day tasks.

Many Thanks,

RBA will allow login and limited access to administration functions.  However EVPM needs to be run as the VSA (or same task account as the mailbox archiving task) as it logs in directly to Exchange and needs the permission to access any mailbox the script is targeting.

Thanks

Karl
