Faulted resource - what kind of resource?
What is the error in engine_A log that indicates the reason for offline state?
Have you investigated outside of VCS to find out what is wrong with resource?
Supporting Storage Foundation and VCS on Unix and Windows as well as NetBackup on Unix and Windows Handy NBU Links
Did you confirmed whether the resource is already online in cluster if resource is part of a failover service grouop, or in peer cluster in case of GCO setup.,
providing more details can help giving right RCA

Once clear FAULTED flag by "hagrp -clear service_grourp", and try to online again. If no luck, chech engine_A.log. What type of resource was failed?
