This issue has been solved. See solution.
Hi guys,
I've been backing up data from our servers and the last couple of times it does the backing up part but just stops at Verify and the device is Queued, but the the network boxes i'm backing up to are online and working fine i can browse to it through Windows Explorer, etc and its not offline in Backup Exec.
Any Suggestions??
Thanks
James

Hi there,
If it is in Queued, you can right-click the job and choose Respond to Alert...this will let you know why it is in that state.
If you are using a stand-alone drive, it could queue if the tape that was being backed up too was ejected. You would need to reinsert it for the Verify to continue.
Laters!

The Respond to alert options is greyed out, i can't click on it :(
Thanks
James
...and if you check physically, is the tape ejected or not?

I'm not using tapes, i backup to Buffalo network Storage boxes, havent used a tape in ages or on this version of Backup Exec (12.5) and i can browse to the box no problems.

OK cool...for some reason, that sorts out a lot of issues, but with no indication that is what the system needs. It should be the staple #1 to-do of any troubleshooting.
PS: pass some of those points on to me? =P =P

Restarting is an ACE Tool when it comes to computers :).
