I am quiet new, to Veritas and wanted to know where to find further information regarding the following questions based around RHEL;

 How would you increase the size of a  Veritas volume with a vxfs mounted on it?

How can you see how much space is allocated to a veritas disk group and how much is free?

To increase the size of a  Veritas volume with a vxfs mounted on it - use vxresize - see

To see how much space is allocated to a veritas disk group and how much is free use vxdg free - see

This is information is also in the SF admin guide -

You can also do both of these from the VOM GUI (VOM is a centralised management GUI that can manage all your hosts with SF and VCS).

moved to Storage Foundation forum as queries pertain to SF/VxVM rather than VCS
