is SEP 12.1.2015.2015    the SEP 12.1 RU2  windows 8 update?

Correct. SEP 12.1 RU2 is the earliest supported build which is compatable with Windows 8 and Server 2012.

CraigV moved it for you. He wasn't telling you to move it, he was simply saying he moved it. He did this so it gets better visibility and hopefully gets you an answer much faster.

But yes, to answer your question and as Mithun pointed out, RU2 supports Windows 8.
