Version and serial number question

Hi
We are using BE 11D and having the agents and serial numbers of the same version. Now, I need to purchase some more agent licenses of Windows and other products. The problem is, 11D license are no more available. If I purchase 12.5 agent licenses, can i install them in the 11D installation and use the 11D agents?

At this moment, i dont want to install the 12.5.

Hi,
Its possible to use BE12.5 license keys in BE 11D.
No problem at allll.
But dont try it reverse way, it dosent support.

The only thing is ensure the Symantec support for BE11d..............
Otherwise its ok.

BE 12.5 license is not backwards compatible to 11d. For that case, you may purchase the BE 12.5, and then contact Symantec Enterprise Customer Care ( 1-800-721-3934 opt 2)  for you to reach the Licensing Department, so that they can assist you to request for a downgrade license from verison 12.5 to 11d.
