  • 1.  Video driver halts boot to production

I'm trying to get a Dell OptiPlex 980 to take a scripted install of Windows 7.

The scripted install of Windows 7 and the DeployAnywhere driver installation works fine, and the computer boots to Windows...however, the "Boot to Production" step never finishes.

In order to allow "Boot to Production" to finish, I have to go to the computer and log onto Windows (username "Altiris", password "password"). At this point, a notification in the lower-right corner tells me the video driver has been installed, and "Boot to Production" may then be considered finished.

The video controller is an ATI Radeon HD 3450, dell part number Y103D.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!

I have been working with support on a similar issue for 7.6 HF7. If on 8.0 I heard that the below fix may not have made it into 8.0 ...yet.

Anyhow, I was able to get some 7.6 HF7 "post-hotfix" builds (if you are on 7.6HF7 to begin with). These are supposed to address the issue you are seeing.
