Virtual disk on an encrypted partition, is it possible without any issues?

Please, anyone can tell me if creating a virtual disk on an encrypted partition will bring any issues or conflicts, is there any reason not to create a virtual disk on an encrypted partition(both the partition and virtual disk using PGP)?

    thanks

These PGP components are designed to work together and actually complement each other.  The WDE encryption protects the data when the OS or drive is not booted, and the Virtual Disk protects data while the OS and drives are up and running.
