This issue has been solved. See solution.

Good morning every body,

I've added a vCenter to my Backup Exec 2012 server.

I have several VM on my vCenter. I've defined a domain account that I've granted Administrator rights on all VM.

Meanwhile, when I schedule a backup and lanch a Credentials test with this account, it fails.

Don't understand what's go wrong.

Thanks for your responses.

Hi,

Check the TN below and make sure you comply with the requirements for the BESA and VMware:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH130255

Thanks!

Hi CraigV,

I've read the the document, and have granted my account the Administrator rights on all VM and on the vCenter.

But nothing has changed, I have the same problem with validating credentials.

OK...do your actual backups run though? And are you able to restore?

If so, ignore the credentials check failure.

Do you think backup can run if credentials test fails?

It has happened that credential checks fail while the jobs go through successfully. Try it and report back,...
