Ghost Solution Suite

I have been using norton ghost 2003 very successfully until now,  when I try cloning to an external HDD I get this message.

'the Virtual Partition DLL was unable to find Virtual Partition on the boot drive'

I have reinstalled it and tried another HDD.

googleing this brings up nothing.

can someone help?

This forum supports Ghost Solution Suite, which uses a different technology to Norton Ghost.
However, what boot environment are you running under, and is your external HDD connected via USB?
Also, is the internal hard disk you are trying to Ghost, an IDE or SATA device?

regarding boot environment, do you mean the OS? I'm booting from windows XP.

so I need someone to help me. If not it's off to try acronis or something because I have no answers.
