Virtual Vault monitoring

This issue has been solved. See solution.
Hi all,
A few months ago I started a thread which related to me completely resetting someone's Virtual Vault because it wasn't working properly. My user ended up losing data.
Fast forward to now, and we're running 10.0.3 (upgraded from 10.0.1). One of the things I was looking forward to was better monitoring of Virtual Vault sync status for my users that have it turned on. The question is, in what form does the monitoring take (e.g. event logs, web page) and if needed, how do I activate it? Will I need the latest addin installed or is there a minimum version?
Also what documentation would describe this, if any? I had a look through the Administrators Guide but couldn't see anything relevant, or I didn't look hard enough.
Thanks
Richard

You can try following web page:
http://your_ev_server/EnterpriseVault/ClientDiagnostics.aspx
Check out this video, it explains everything
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/videos/enterprise-vault-vault-cache-diagnostics
Well you can't simply just go to the web page, you have to enable it, have the right version of the client and right version of the server to do it
There is a handy video here that talks about the diagnostics page:

Many Thanks,

PS I hope that the post proves helpful.
Thank you to everyone. The web page exists so I'm halfway there, but yes I will need to start updating my clients to 10.0.3 which is planned anyway.
I'll watch the video later.
