Hi,
With windows XP, I can go out and read the file ...\definfo.dat and get the curdefs information as to what is in use on a remote workstation. We use this to independently monitor our netwrok to make sure everyone has the latest definitions.
Where is said information stored on a Windows Vista station. I can open the icon and verify it has the correct definitions and that it is running 10.2.1.1000. I really need to be able to remotely open a text file or a registry key and extract the version information. Anyone know how to do this?
