Ghost Solution Suite

  • 1.  Vista Compatible Ghost.exe only

    Will there be a Vista compatible Ghost corporate edition that is only the imaging component and not the entire suite (which I don't use)? I really only need ghost.exe and gdisk.exe

    As far as I know both of those only work in DOS. If you mean the Ghost32.exe than I pretty sure you will need to updae for Vista.

    Hi,
     
    Currently, imaging tools of Enterprise version of Ghost is only available with Ghost Solution Suite, which includes Ghost32 and Gdisk32 too.
     
    In GSS 2.0, all these tools are compatible with Vista (Dos components can handle Vista disks and 32bit components could run in Vista/Vista WinPE).

    I've just downloaded a trial copy of Ghost Solution Suite 2.0 and I cannot find anywhere the file Ghost32.exe.
    There is Ghost.exe, gdisk.exe, gdisk32.exe, but no ghost32.exe.
    Where is it?
    Is it only packaged in the retail version ?

    Hello SergeB,
    Ghost32.exe is only packaged in the retail version and not in trialware.  The trialware version has some limitations put in that the full version does not have, it may pay to have to quick look at the Readme file.

    You should still be able to create and clone Vista machines with trialware Ghost Solution Suite 2.0 using Ghost.exe and Console.
