  • 1.  Vista Deployment with Sysprep

When creating a new Image task, I have to specify an unattend.xml file.

Once done, I have two options, one to Run Sysprep before creating image, and second Sysprep to perform SID change...

Does this option automatically include any of the following switches as per sysprep syntax, like /quiet, /generalize, /oobe, /audit?

    Thanks..

In an image task sysprep page, the first optipn (run Microsoft sysprep on this machine before creating the image) allows user to run a sysprep prior to create an image.  If this option is not checked, an image will be created without sysprep.  By defaut, two sysprep switches are included on Vista - /oobe and /reboot.  The second option (tell sysprep to perfom a SID change...) will enable /generalize.

You can view what switches are included for a task by highlight the task then right click and select "task scenario".

    Cheers,
