    Please install the latest version sep clinet. The latest version is 11.0.5002.

    This is provided by my office(Unisys). This is a corporate version. Version: 11.0.4202.75.

    I've uninstalled & reinstalled, still Vista Security Center unable to detect SEP.

     It was working fine earlier. Suddenly after installing some Microsoft auto update, it is not working.

    OS: Vista Home Premium. 32 Bit

    This is an issue with Windows API. PLEASE UPGRADE TO RU5. The issue is resolved in this release.

    Seems like MS expired the API

    Seems like MS expired the API a little earlier than they promised - "As a result, the grace period will begin expiring in September 2009, 18 months after Windows Vista SP1 was released on the Microsoft Download Center in March 2008."

    Not quite September yet!  I first noticed this on an early build of Windows 7 and our SEP client.

    We plan on fixing it in our MR5 client, which will RTM in September (I believe its actually fixed in the code now, I just need to get a later build to test)."



    PLEASE UPGRADE TO RU5. The issue is resolved in this release.

    From where to download RU5?
    I've installed SEP 11 provided by my company.
    Please let me know the details.

    RU5 is the next release of Symantec that 11.0.5

     It is asking for the Serial Number.
    I don't have that as this is provided by my company(Unisys).

    You're going to have to ask your supervisor (or other tech guys where you work) to get you the latest version or deploy a work-around if they refuse.  You can disable the security center notices, see here for details.
