In many of our Vista machines, when we starting we are getting an error as unauthorized user made changes and activation error. but when we stopped symantec service it is working fine..this means syamntec is creating error..
facing this issue for may systems..kindly help..

This method suggest that you SEP installed is not compatible with installed vista version.
Please check the compatibility & install the proper compatible package.
We performed the mentioned steps already..but facing the same error only..
it seems to be language issue

installed service pack 2..we will check and update
Which version are you installing.
If it vista sp1 or higher, you need to install RU6.
Iam using 12.1 RU1
after upgrading to SP 2, do you still see the issue?
did you check on the language of the OS?
My OS language is English only
today Only i upgraded the service pack..i kept that system in under observation..
