I have this problem right now.
I want to use Virtual Machine Management.
So I created a connection profile with the appropriate credentials for vmware, and I ran the network discovery on all of my vCenters.
The discovery ran successfully and all of the ESX's are registered.
But for some reason the inventory task that Altiris automatically creates to inventory the ESX machines and its content, fails every time.
It runs for ever and at the end gives me this error:
"The task was killed because it took longer than the allowed time. To change the time go to the task's advanced properties."
The account I'm using has full access to the vCenter and the ESX machines.
I have even tried to inventory only one machine but I get the same error.
So why can't it run inventory on my ESX machines?
