VMOPRCMD show drive entry double

This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hi All,

 

Can any one help me to resolve the issue..

 

vmoprcmd shows drive entry double.

windows device manager and veritas gui show exact drive list. only need to correct entry on vmoprcmd-d  double entry drive list

 

ex :- drive 0 shows 2 times ( double entry)....... drive 1 shows 2 times ( double entry).... drive 2, 3,4 shows 1 time

Yes , please find  the  details of drive 0, 2 & 3 shows same entry twice...

... & does tpconfig -d show the same duplication?

TPCONFIG -D  shows perfect .. no issues.. its shows correct drive details ( no duplication)

Any changes recently?

Have services been re-started recently?

 

There is a very old T/N that deals with differences between the output of the two commands - they *should* be the same - but that was drives missing from one & subsequent errors.

Possible resolution was to re-start ltid & if that doesn't correct then delete & re-create the drives.

Do you have drive sharing in place?  We do and our ouput shows 4 entries for each drive, as expected.

Can you post output of "tpconfig -emm_dev_list"?

Alse tell us version of NetBackup and OS, how many media servers you have in this domain.

hi ,

i had the same issue few days ago, and finally i  need to end up with reconfiguration(delete and readd the drives) of the Drives to look them fine in VMOPRCMD

and  was using Netbackup 7.1 .

i would suggest you to do the same...

As Wr said, Ensure drive sharing is der.

Do you have two dedicated path for same drive ?

 Actullay the drive has been share with NDMP and media server so that its shown.. found tht with the help of symantec thanks for kind help guyssss
