VMware backup error, "file read failed(13)"

Dear all,

I am using NetBackup 7.5.0.4 on Windows Server 2008 R2.

I created a VMware backup policy using VIP to query some VMs.

When the job run, 2 VMs is successful but 1 VM failed with error "file read failed(13)"

inside bpfis log, i found this error : Unable to access file <unspecified filename> since it is locked <182>

kindly advise if someone has a solution.

Please specify all the 3 VM's in same esxi or in different esxi ?

The solution varies based on the cause.

If the VMware host held a lock on that snapshot:

Restart the management agents on that host

Create a snapshot manually

Perform a "Delete All" operation

This should clear the snapshot(s) present

If the Virtual Appliance mode failed to unmount hot-added disks:

Remove all hot-added disks from the Veeam VM

Create one snapshot manually

Perform a "Delete All" operation

Tip: Get overview/document your NBU environment. Run 'nbsu' and review the output.
