This issue has been solved. See solution.
Hei guys!
I experience that Incremental/Differential backups fails with this message:
Final error: 0xe00095b4 - Incremental\\Differential backup methods are not supported for this VM. The backup job failed, since the option 'to fall back to a full backup' was not selected.Final error category: Resource Errors
even though I have made these selections for the job
I have installed Service Pack 1a and the two available hotfixes.
Any ideas?

1. A similar issue was resolved in Hotfix 180964. It seems that you have applied this hotfix but still confirm with the hotfix number.
2. Is this backup going to deduplication folder?
3. If this backup is going to disk storage please confirm if the IMG folders created by previous incremental backups are present on the disk storage.
Thanks,
Are the fulls and the incr/diff going to same type of storage ? Are these duplicate jobs of incr/diff ?
1. The hotfix 180964 is installed in affected system.
2. Yes
3. Yes
And yes, the target is the same.

Is this problem coming on first incremental backup itself or the first incremental backup is successful and subsequent incrementals failed?
Are you running your backusp by hance to a deduplication folder?
Sorry - just re-read the thread - you are using deduplication. Ignore last question.
Hello Bjorn,
Apply Hotfix 194470 (released today) on Backup Exec server:
http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH194470
Update remote agents on all remote servers and VM's. Run backups and check the result. This hotfix has updated dedupe binaries.
