Hi, I am trying to pxe boot with vmware, I am using vmware server console version 1.0.8 and I have set up a "windows server 2003 enterprise x64 edition" VM
I use dos drivers for pxe, the VM is using by default the E1000.dos, the mac address is registered in DHCP and all starts to work well - the dos boot disk downloads as normal load the e1000.dos driver loads etc until it gets to:
Change computer name to the "mac address"
Initializing TCP/IP via DHCP - then the VM hangs
I have other XP vm's set up that I can pxe boot, they use the AMD net driver.
I have downloaded the latest e1000.dos driver from Intel dated 7 Nov 2008.
Any ideas?
