VMWare Esxi 5.0 with an independent-persistent mode

Dear,

I have VMware ESx with many virtual machine and a backup exec 2012 for backups. The VMWare Esxi 5.0 with an independent-persistent mode is supported by BackupExec 2012 SP1?

If I am not mistaken, it is not supported.  See the  VMware Storage Configuration Compatibility section (page 34) of the SCL below

BE 2012 SCL
