VMWare vShield - Syamantec product release date?
Created: 21 Jun 2012 | 4 comments
I have seen the press release from VMWare and Symantec regarding release of a Symantec product that will "live" in conjuction with and function with VMWare vShield. I also know that McAfee (bad word in these forums, i know :) ) has released their product a few months back. Is there any information available on when the Symantec product would be released and if that would be available as part of the Protection Suite or if it would be an add-on to licensing?
Thanks in advance.

Stage 1 of our vShield product functionality will arrive later this year. Without an NDA I can't give you any more information at this point.

Any chance you can tell us if vShield functionality will get included into the Endpoint Protection Suite, or if it will require separate licences for each instance?
I can say that if it will require additional licensing, you guys can count us out.
There's no update yet on the licensing part. As mentioned by Paul, there would be updates about the same, later this year.
