Hello Doca3001:
You require the Storage Insight add-on available for Linux, or Solaris, or Windows, which you will have. Then your device must be on the Veritas Operations Manager Hardware and Software Compatibility Lists 4.1 / 5.0
Section - ARRAY SUPPORT FOR THE STORAGE INSIGHT ADD-ON
4.1 page 10, 3PAR is not a currently supported Array.
5.0 page 13, 3PAR is <Correction> 3 PAR array models are listed under the HP model section.
HP 3 PAR F -400
HP 3 PAR F -200
HP 3 PAR S -400.
The CommandCentral Storage product does currently support 3PAR as a device.
Your account team can request a Product Action Request (PAR) a term for an enhancement via the Product Management channel.
Hopefully that would help you to get the data you seek into the VOM application.
Rod
VOM 5.0 along with Storage Insight Add-on version 5.0 does support deep discovery for 3PAR enclosures.
The only requirement being that the discovery host that is picked for discovery need be running VRTSsfmh pkg version 5.0.
Hope this helps....
Thanks,
Vidyut.
Excellent News Vidyut. I see the Knowledgebase system is up to date but the HSCL doc is not. We will ask for it to be updated.
Meanwhile Doca3001, if you upgrade the control host and then review the articles here you should be able to accomplish your goal.

Thanks for the answers, if you help me to understand the CommandCentral Storage because it was looking to vom was see the I/O array.
Doca3001:
Have we provided you a solution or do you have further questions between CommandCentral Storage (CCS) and Veritas Operations Manager (VOM) Storage Insight (SI)?

How use to configure Device Enclosure?
Send error
Error V-383-9-1020 Array discovery from the specified host platform is unsupported
Doca3001:
I am assuming your goal is configuration which once completed will lead to how to view and use the product. Under the list of articles here there are technical articles outlining the process and usage of the configuration and viewing, you should be able to use these to accomplish your goals.
In the first article in the list
Configuring deep discovery for 3PAR storage enclosures using Veritas Operations Manager Storage Insight add-on for Deep Array Discovery and Mapping 5.0
you will see the process to follow and some caveats on configuration.
To configure deep discovery for the 3PAR enclosures
In the Veritas Operations Manager console, select Settings > Enclosure.
In the Enclosure page, click Actions > Configure New Device.
In the Configure Device wizard panel, select the vendor, and the enclosure model. Click Next.
See Configure Device panel options for vendor and product selection.
In the Configure Device wizard panel, enter the required information about the 3PAR enclosure. Click Next.
See Configure Device panel options for enclosure selection.
In the Configure Device wizard panel that lists the 3PAR enclosures, enter the deep array discovery information. Click Finish.
See Configure Device panel options to update the enclosures discovery information.
I hope that helps you to resolve your request?
Rod
