Hello all.

I recently added around 50 licences, of a paid App on the symantec app center. It came to my notice when i generated a report that some devices have not recieved it and there are couple of devices that have consumed multiple licences of the same app. I believe it was because the profiles were deleted on the device and the app center was re-istalled in some. which led to this issue. I beleieve once a device accepts a code of a particular app, then the app is that particular devices, but i dont understand is how the codes were re-consumed.

Any one with a similar issue or have any suggestion on the same will be of great help.

Also i would like to know any go around or a way to control the flow of apps to device through the app center.

Regards,

Anoop.

If some of the devices installed more than once, that should have happened.  There are also settings in many systems (much like Google's browser) when set to delete history paths will also un/delicense any licensed content on the OS.  Whether IOS, or OS of server/workstation...must check install path abd target on a few before troubleshooting each system individually.

Do a history delete in Google's web browser, or set your Internet Explorer to delete Browsing History.

U will understand.

Good luck!

Hello MCGH1,

I was speaking of App codes(Vpp licence code) for the Apps that have been deployed to the devices through the app center.

The devices are ipad 2, running on ios 5+

Anoop,

It may be taking two licensures to:

Upgrade to the IOS6 first (from 5), and then use the IOS6 app license to run it (real time).   ie.) Windows updates if you've ever pulled an old Windows OS up to speed in a big hurry on old equipment).

Make sure your Symantec versions on all system apps are all updated to the latest version, and release.

Iff you contact Apple they may be able to tell you how Ipads update (and what they use to get there) for the particular apps you're using.

Good luck!
