    Having trouble pushing 12.1 RU1 MP1 SEP from same version SEPM to a brand new Win2008 Std x64 Server.

    I get this in the event log on the server:

    The VPRemote Install Bootstrap Service service is marked as an interactive service.  However, the system is configured to not allow interactive services.

     

    Disabled UAC, but that didn't help.

    This could be a possible bug, may want to check with Symantec. I saw this in 11.x and it turned out to be a bug which was fixed in a later version of 11.x. Maybe it has come back with 12.1.

    Also, try pushing the non single EXE package or try pushing from the client deployment wizard.

    Brian,

    I was getting that error when pushing from the management server (via client deployment wiz).  Also when running the .exe locally.  Ended up running cleanwipe, & installing non-packaged-into-single-exe version.
