Hi everyone.

We had the RALUS Backup Agent successfully running on a Debian Etch (4.0) machine for over a year now. It worked great. Now we performed an update for Etch to Lenny (5.0) and now the VRTSralus service won't start:

The file /var/VRTSralus/beremote.service.log is empty. No logging...

There seems to be a problem with VRTSvxms but I don't know where to start.

I thought to delete the following lines out of the ralus.cfg file could help:

Software\Symantec\Backup Exec For Windows\Backup Exec\Engine\RALUS\VfmPath=/opt/VRTSralus/VRTSvxms
Software\Symantec\Backup Exec For Windows\Backup Exec\Debug\VXBSAlevel=5

But that didn't work. After trying to start the service again the line

Software\Symantec\Backup Exec For Windows\Backup Exec\Engine\RALUS\VfmPath=/opt/VRTSralus/VRTSvxms

somehow is back in the ralus.cfg file...
